Win Your Dream Mexico Wedding Vacation from Palace Resorts

We have vacationed in Mexico many times; we love the Cancun and the Yucatan Peninsula. Especially for us here in Denver, it's such a quick flight - we try and go as often as we can. This April, I will turn 45 and this May, we will celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary. Both of those numbers make me feel very old. Although with age comes wisdom, right? I loved our small wedding here in Colorado, surrounded by family and friends... but if I could do it over, one idea that would be high on my list? Getting everyone to meet us in Mexico. My friends at Palace Resorts and Weddings by Funjet understand how that might seem daunting, and are having a fabulous contest right now (valued at more than $40,000!) where the winners will have their dream wedding at the amazing Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort - including photos, flights for up to 8 guests, luxe accommodations, $1,500 in credits and more.
Keystone Resort - Spring Skiing

Spring Ski Deals at Keystone Resort

Our weather can be really strange here in Colorado. The temperatures yo-yo all the time, and generally most people think Denver is an arctic tundra. The thing is, it's usually not that cold and it's the mountains (1-2 hours west) that get all the snow.…
Tabacon Hot Springs

Costa Rica Hot Springs at Tabacon Resort

When I attended ROAR Retreat recently, I stayed an extra few days with my friend, client and co-organizer of the conference Andrea. I thought we were going actually work, but she had other plans. She insisted there is no way I could visit Costa Rica…
Costa Rican Flowers and Plants

The Flowers & Plants of Costa Rica

We have our first real touch of cold here in Colorado, which - let's face it, compared to other parts of the world, is not that cold... but when you have recently been to the rainforest, it sure feels cold. One of the things that…
Roar Retreat Recap - Costa Rica Travel

Roar Retreat Recap

The past two months have been full of travel, new experiences, learning... plus seeing old friends while making new ones. The event that brought me to Costa Rica was Roar Retreat, a social media conference for professional bloggers. The idea for ROAR was hatched by two clients over a year ago, because Andrea Fellman and Nadia Carriere loved how the best ideas happen in the halls between sessions. Their dream came to fruition last month when around 35 women traveled out of the country for intimate networking in a gorgeous location, the Westin Playa Conchal. Personally, I vote for every conference to be held at all-inclusive resorts from now on, forever and ever, amen.
Strange Alien Lizard Creature from Costa Rica

Jesus Christ Lizard (Green Basilisk) from Costa Rica

I have numerous photos of a wide variety of flowers from Costa Rica; the country is so incredibly diverse biologically speaking. We saw several interesting animals there, but none startled and amazed me as much as this bizarre alien looking lizard that darted out from…
Costa Rica Zipline

Canopy Ziplining in Arenal, Costa Rica (video)

When we decided to visit the Guanacaste rainforest region of Costa Rica, pretty much the only thing I wanted to do was zipline. My best friend Danielle has been several times before and she speaks of the region with such reverence; I knew I needed…
