De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da!
I AM GOING TO SEE THE POLICE!!!
My pottery teacher and friend Lori, whose day job is at Xcel Energy, came through with tickets for the second night of The Police. I guess Xcel supplies power to the Pepsi Center or something?
After 23 years of waiting, I am finally going to see the Police live! And my friend Stacie is flying in from Kansas City to go with us! And Bryan can breath a sigh of relief because I will finally SHUT UP about this.
I have had The Police and Paolo Nutini on shuffle all day. Why Paolo Nutini? Because Danielle and I are going to see him tonight. At a much smaller venue than the Pepsi Center of course – but his tickets were sold out at first too, then they moved him and we had a second chance there as well.
There is just good music karma in the air, I guess.
Woohoo!
I love Paolo Nutini, that song “Last Request” was my song on my MySpace page for the longest time.
Last Request is probably my fave song on the album!
Yay! Glad to hear it!
I’m still crossing my fingers that I’ll get to go…
So. how was the Paolo concert???
Can you believe he’s only like 19?
So excited for you!! it will be great!!
Thanks guys!
And Paolo was great, very fun. We actually ended up walking right up the front row/center stage because it wasn’t very crowded when we got there – and they were filming it! And then there were people who forced their way up to the front row later and proceeded to stand there like a stone. I’ll never understand that. But Paolo sounded really really good, even though he hardly interacted with the crowd at all. Of course when he did talk, his Scottish accent was so thick you could hardly understand him, so maybe it was for the best he rarely spoke. 😉
