Ohh, that’s a great mix of music! I’m definitely gonna try for next time. Congrats to the winners!

Recently, we discovered K’Naan. Everyone in the family has a favorite, but we all agree on “Wavin’ Flag” from his second album called “Trubadour”. If you haven’t listened to him before here’s a note:
    He is considered hip hop.
Mind you his albums are labeled as having explicit lyrics and there are a few songs that we “skip” over because of 5 year old ears, but mostly his songs are full of hope, strength, and optimism. I have no problem letting my girl listen to that.

And before I go on, I should probably ask if anyone has heard him before and what do you think?

We saw him open for Jason Mraz last summer. I like him but my hubby digs him more than I do! In fact, he was more stored to see K’Naan than Jason. 😉

    Love this cover this month.

  4. Meghann

Some of the latest additions to the playlist:

-“Poison and Wine” The Civil Wars
-“Cosmic Love” Florence and the Machine
    -“Sink or Swim” Tyrone Wells

My biggest latest discovery is something totally nerdy, but I LOVE it. The Red Hot Chilli Pipers, a bagpipe rock band. Since a significant portion of my heritage is Celtic and Gaelic, it just speaks to me somewhere down deep. Lol!

Meghann – that is awesomely hilarious.

Oh – how I love Jonny Lang. I saw him at Red Butte Gardens (Utah) and he was fantastic. If I didn’t see it with my own eyes, I wouldn’t believe that voice could come from that baby face.
