First, the Hotel Pool.
We spent the weekend at the annual Rockygrass Festival in the teensy town of Lyons, Colorado – about an hour and a half north of Denver. Details of which will have to come tomorrow because I am UTTERLY EXHAUSTED. So tired I might not even need my sleep meds – that’s just how tired I am.
However, we spent the night at the nicest Holiday Inn Express I have ever seen, 15 minutes outside of Lyons in the suburb with no “urb,” – Longmont, Colorado.
Seriously, this hotel was the best $100 bucks we have ever spent. Not only did the room pretty much look like you’d stepped into a high-end Sheraton, the beds were wonderfully squishy, it had a flat screen TV, lovely granite and tile everywhere… but the big attraction was the POOL.
All hail a hotel pool with a big tube slide and a frog mouth you can climb inside of.
