We made it back to Denver late last night to some veeeeery cold temperatures – but our trip was most excellent so I will spend no time complaining about the weather. You’ll have to wait for the full low-down because I have been in back to back to back to back meetings all day and must leave early to go home and relieve my beleaguered husband right now. And I have over 600 photos to edit.
Declan has a righteous ear infection that has kept him awake the past few nights. The doctor’s comment? “No wonder he hasn’t been sleeping.” So he’s back on the orange antibiotics that he likes so well and sleeping his fool head off, the poor thing.
But before I go, I will tell you about my first meeting of the day – the one where the Mayor of Lakewood, Colorado came out of our offices to check out our little company. He was very friendly and personable and pretty much thought we kicked total ass. Always good to come back from vacation and meet up with a mayor – even if it is only the mayor of Lakewood. (kidding, kidding!)
And I performed my civic duty too. I informed him that there was only one fast food restaurant in our little section of town and he needed to work on getting a Chick Fil-A here for me. The man literally smiled, nodded his head and asked his assistant to write it down. I am not fucking joking.
Now I wish I lived over here so I could vote for him.
