My Dentist Has Cute Kids.
I started going to my dentist because he was a friend. He became a friend because his wife worked with us. At first it was weird to have a friend digging around in my mouth, but now I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Of course, there *was* that time he slipped and gashed my tongue and had to give me three stitches. But really, I was so high on nitrous at the time (I get a wee bit nervous during dental procedures) so the only way I knew anything had even gone awry was the fountain of blood spurting upwards from my mouth – it was quite beautiful actually, and who knew just how viscous your tongue can be?
And said tongue healed in like 3 minutes because of that viscosity but my dentist was absolutely mortified, which makes it even more awesome to tease him about it every single time I see him. He swears that has happened only twice in his life, once with me and once with his sister. So I figure he only does it to the people he really cares for.
Anyway, to show him I have truly forgiven him, last week, I took pictures of my dentist, my coworker, and their three adorable kids. The youngest of which was still in my coworkers belly when we started working together.
Needless to say, we’ve been working together for a long time.

I prefer my dentist to be the man behing the mask that I see whenever I remember to schedule an appt, about once every couple of years. 😉 Ok, i do try to go a wee bit more than that.

They are beautiful kids, and the dentist isn’t half bad himself.
I went to high school with my dentist and it still is kind of weird to think she’s “old enough” to fill a cavity. But she’s wonderful and it’s nice to have that familiarity!
