Of Monsters & Men concert photos and review - Mission Ballroom Denver

Of Monsters and Men at Mission Denver

Of Monsters and Men returned to Denver in late 2025 for a night at Mission Ballroom, bringing their sweeping indie folk sound and devoted fanbase along for an evening that leaned heavily into atmosphere and emotion. Known for songs that balance quiet intimacy with cinematic crescendos, the Icelandic band delivered a polished and carefully crafted set that highlighted their signature harmonies and layered instrumentation.

Mission Ballroom proved to be a fitting venue for the band’s expansive sound. The room filled with warm lighting, moody visuals, and plenty of audience singalongs as fans embraced favorites from across the group’s catalog. Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir and Ragnar “Raggi” Þórhallsson remain the emotional center of the band, their intertwined vocals carrying much of the night with a mix of melancholy and grandeur.

At times, the pacing leaned a little too restrained for me personally, with several quieter stretches that slowed the momentum of the show. But that more reflective approach is also part of what many fans clearly love about Of Monsters and Men. The band focused less on big spectacle and more on mood and emotional connection.

Even in its more subdued stretches, the show maintained a sense of sincerity that has long defined Of Monsters and Men as a live act. Their music continues to create a strong connection with fans, and Denver’s crowd responded warmly throughout the evening.
