Declan: “I am going to put the new toilet paper on the roll.”

Aimee: “Awesome, thanks.”

Declan: [amusedly exasperated] “Because we keep running out! All the time!!!

Aimee: “I know, it’s a vicious cycle.”

Declan: “OR! … I like to call it ‘Running Out of Toilet Paper Every Day.'”

Declan:
“Mama, I can’t bang my head to ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ with you right now. I am eating.”

[As I am rubbing his back as bedtime, on the day of the arrival of his Oma and Pata]

Declan: [with sleepy happy grin] “I am going to have my back rubbed all the time this week while Oma and Pata are here.”

Aimee: “That makes you happy, doesn’t it?”

Declan: “No. It makes me feel… loved.”
