Tool - Denver Concert Photos - Ball Arena

Tool at Denver’s Ball Arena

Seeing Tool has been a bucket list thing for me – not to mention photographing the legendary rock band. But that is just what I did for their sold-out show at Denver’s Ball Arena (formerly Pepsi Center) this week. Everyone in the stadium seemed as pumped as I was that Tool was finally able to bring their show here after two years.

I am old enough to remember being blown away when Tool exploded into the 90s, but it was pretty exciting to get their latest album, Fear Inoculum, in 2019 – after a thirteen-year break. Then to hear them play it finally… mind-blowing.

Singer Maynard James Keenan sang from the back of the stage with his rich tones, while the band was behind a transparent screen with visuals projected up and around them – a clever way to make a huge impression in a large room. Every Tool song is pretty much an extended play live, but if you look at the setlist below – they managed to still fit in a ton on music.

Tool has just started their 2022 tour, so check if they are coming to your city (and if it’s not sold out yet). Well worth it!
