Wherein I Make Up for the Magic Carpet Ride
There are certain people in my life [cough, cough Kary cough, cough Gerhard] who like to bring up THIS VIDEO every single time they see me. Every. Single. Time.
OK, fine. I see why. It’s hilarious and stupid and I nearly give myself a concussion. What’s not to love?
But I promise you, while we are up here in Winter Park for Spring Break, I have not subjected any other poor skiers to the torment they experienced that day at Arapahoe Basin. I really think the dude who nearly walked right over me on the magic carpet is probably still in therapy. Sking and me? Oil and water.
But *TUBING* and me?
FUCKING AWESOME.

freakin’ awesome!
Ok, you’re snow-play skills have been redeemed.
SO unbelievably fun and cool … almost makes me want to go somewhere cold. Almost.
I know, Sue – we have had NOOOO winter – so having a Spring Break in winter has been actually fun!
that was hilarious!
I am one who can watch the Magic Carpet Ride and NOT laugh. Because I can’t ski. At all. My dad took us up to Eldora when I was in high school. It took 2 instructors an entire afternoon just to teach me to turn. And then they let me go to the top of the bunny hill. I panicked on the way down, and forgot how to stop. I just kept going faster, and almost ran over some people. I even went so far I was over the ridge of snow they put at the base of the hill, and finally stopped about 2 feet from the parking lot.
I’ve never lived that one down.
That looked like a blast! However it did not make me lmao which your magic carpet ride did, so from time to time I just *have* to revisit that video:) Looks like you guys had an awesome spring break!!!
that was AWESOME. But not nearly as funny as the Terror on the Mountain.
LOVED IT! – m
