Baby, Baby, Baby!
I honestly haven’t done that many newborn photo shoots. I have a confession to make: little itty bitty babies and their fragile-ness kinda freak me out. Kinda being an understatement. Even before and after I had a 32-week preemie myself.
I have seen the tutorials that show you how to shoot newborns. Several hands in different places holding their weak necks in place, and then photoshop them together, removing the adult hands. I am sure I could do it – but the wave of nervousness (even thinking about it) would make it very difficult for me.
That’s why I like shooting older babies… 3 months, 6 months, 9 months.
They interact with their parents.
They tell you when they are tired.
They think about world issues.
They are so cute they almost make you want another. {ALMOST.}
And best of all…
THEY CAN HOLD THEIR OWN D*** NECK UP.
P.S. You may have noticed Tara and her adorable family in these photos. Pretty sure her son is the cutest baby ever born except for yours and mine.
I did my first photoshoot of a newborn that wasn’t mine a few weeks ago. Man was it a challenge. She had a 2 year old sister we were trying to get in shots as well, and let’s just say, neither one of them were happy about having their pictures taken that day. I’ll be excited to do a shoot for them again later, when the baby is bigger.
I did end up getting some great shots, but I had to take over 400 shots to get them, lol!
You, my dear, are amazing. We had so much fun shooting those pictures with you. Thanks again for capturing the wonderful memories and for being a great friend! xoxox
