Live High, Live Mighty

Yeah, I know I twitterized on all day Monday about seeing Jason Mraz again, but he really is one of my favorite artists, so I had to post about it too. So there. Cause when you see one of your faves with your best friend, it’s just amazing. And when you and your best friend buy some champagne and sneak it into her car and take sips straight from the bottle and catch up on girlie stuff while waiting for the line into the Fillmore to die down, well. Let’s just say, double amazing.

Seriously, Jason’s voice is so so so so fantastic live. Such a fun show. Danielle and I have decided we will go see him whenever, wherever he comes.

And if you haven’t picked up Jason’s new album, “We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things,” you really should. I highly recommend dancing to the song Butterfly. Preferably in your underwear. A pick-me-up for any kind of day.

Here is a crappy piece of footage (I borrowed Declan’s point and shoot again) from when Jason was performing “Live High.” It was a big surprise when the horn section turned up in the rafters with rest of the crowd. The other big surprise was when he flashed photos of Obama on his screens and the place went ABSOLUTELY NUTS. OK, not really a big surprise seeing as this is Denver. Well, um, the girls from Ft. Collins in front of us were a *little* surprised.
