PBS Kids App: Super Vision For Parents

I am so proud to be a PBS Kids VIP Parent (their pretty name for a brand ambassador). The biggest perk of this job is attending the PBS Annual Meeting which brings together PBS stations from around the country to introduce them to new shows,…

Compare Tires at Continental Uvalde Proving Grounds

Note: This is a sponsored post. However, all opinions are mine.Tires. I honestly have never thought about them all that much - until a few weeks ago, when I visited the Uvalde Proving Grounds in Texas with Continental Tires. I mean, sure. When I get…

Win Hunter Hayes Concert Tickets for Colorado Springs Show

Note: Hunter Hayes is providing concert tickets for me and the contest winner. Words are mine.
Did you watch the Grammy's this year? You may remember a remarkable young man performing his song, "Invisible" with inspirational quotes flying all around him as he sang his heart out? Yup, Hunter Hayes. My music tastes usually run a bit more indie but I always love good singing and songwriting. I have listened to all of Hunter's music (pre-Grammys even) and it's really beautiful.

Frank Turner in Denver & More Adventures in Medical Emergencies

Note: Concert tickets were provided by Frank Turner; all photos and words are mine. My experience at the Frank Turner show was different than any other. (I am also free to tell you, on a completely separate note, that her little one just had a bout in the hospital, so give her some love if you can.)

Note: Riot Fest provided tickets for the event but all words and photos are mine. There was a really fun weekend in September where I was able to take my 11 year old son (who just turned 11 that week) to see some of the most amazing bands of my lifetime. Riot Fest was held way east of Denver in a field at May Farms, and all that open sky actually gave me a feeling of agoraphobia. It also gave us a great view of the three massive stages where bands Blink 182, AWOLNation, Public Enemy, Iggy & The Stooges and The Replacements played their faces off for two days.
