Dragondeer with Jocelyn & Chris at Larimer Lounge

I met Eric Halborg many years ago when his band Swayback played my school fundraiser. That event has introduced me to so many local bands that I have stayed friends with over the years – and while I have seen Dragondeer play more times than I can count, this was the first time I photographed a headlining show. A mixture of rock, blues and soul, Dragondeer is great live – the perfect combination of musicianship and fun.

Adding to the night were opening act Jocelyn and Chris, who captivated the room with soulful singing and artful guitar licks. I was even happier when the brother and sister team brought Eric up to play harmonica with them; they all just fit.
