Today is International Talk Like A Pirate Day. I’m not joking.
And the emails at work have already gotten seriously hilarious.
An example:
Ahoy Land Lubbers,
This be just a warnin’ t’ all o’ you around t’ port. Ye ole creative team, and other scurrvy, every year about September 19th, start t’ talk like pirates. We normally be limiting it t’ t’ emails, but if you’ve been around the buckaneer a few laps, you know you start t’ see some o’ us look like pirates as well. I’s just wanting to belay the message, so there be no hinging the jib.
So, splice the mainbrace!! Be savin’ some o’ that grog for Captain James Flint! (Braawwkk) O’ and me friend Casey too.
