His Very First Art Opening

Tonight we attended a student “art walk” that benefited Declan’s school. Basically, all these businesses in the shopping district near the school took pieces of art from students at the school and displayed them and the public is invited to come stroll all the shops… then a portion of the proceeds from the evening go to the school… kind of making a “gallery opening” type deal for the kids!

Except for the hobos we ran into after dark on Colfax Ave, it was totally awesome. Declan’s class was displayed in a funky little hair salon, and he was proud as a peacock to show us his work. Great idea all around.
