Photos: Air Dubai at the Bluebird Theater

It’s pretty clear that one of my favorite bands (from Denver or not) is Air Dubai.

I have photographed them many times and when they played the Bluebird late in 2014 after being on tour for most of the year, I was sure to be there. This show was a little (seriously, a very little) more mellow than other times I have seen them – with some songs now having the low-key cool feel of their hit Warning. Not to say at all that Air Dubai is ever boring. They are GREAT live.

Related: this show was the first time I have ever seen *anyone, ever* ask a lead singer to sign an autograph from the stage, mid-show. Luckily Jon Shockness is a good sport, and I am not sure many people even noticed. Which does not mean I won’t tease him about it forever, and I love that their fan base is growing exponentially, because, like I said, awesome.

I can’t wait to see what is in store for these guys in 2015, because it is gonna be rad.
