The Great Medical Show Debate

As you know, I became addicted to Grey’s Anatomy earlier this Fall and quickly watched the first 2 seasons and then got an Apple iTunes Season Pass to catch up on the current season (which came to a screaming halt with the past few weeks of reruns. Cruel. Really, really cruel).

Well, on pretty much the opposite side of the same coin, Bryan and I have also liked the few episodes of Scrubs that we have managed to see in the past, so I thought it would be fun to get old seasons of that show from Netflix too.

And it’s been hard not to compare and contrast… and for Bryan, hard not to get characters confused between the two shows. Which has turned into even more fun… trying to imagine McDreamy in the fantasy sequences that Zach Braff pulls off (my favorite being where he’s the Fonz, I think)… Or placing Elliott into a really emergency situation and watch her fluff her hideous half-bangs for the whole show instead of actually doing anything. (Yes, I realize she has grown them out – we’re still on Season 1).

Now, all we need to do is get House into the mix for the crotchety, pill-popping doc and ultra-bizarre malady medical show… and we’re all set!

Oh, and personally, I think the funniest part of it all is that we’re actually getting interested in TV shows now that we have no cable in which to deliver said TV shows.
