Tove Lo at Mission Ballroom Denver

Tove Lo, the Swedish singer whose name is actually pronounced Too-veh-loo (not Tove-low), visited us in Denver this week and made a huge splash. The gorgeous lady strutted all over the stage, encouraging self-love and acceptance, while blasting out her catchy pop songs. She went hard for the first three: “Pineapple Slice,” “Attention Whore,” and “Cool Girl.” The near 20-song concert set was filled with fan faves (as evidenced by the screaming and sing-alongs, at least).

I went into the show hoping for a night full of dancing and upbeat fun and that’s exactly what I got. Plus plenty of sexy twerking and butt shakes. Tove Lo managed to mix in a lot of tender moments too, and enjoyed interacting with the crowd. Her voice was especially strong in those intimate songs, but she sounded great all night. Add clever set design (love those clouds!) and outfit changes – the show felt much larger than a Mission show – even though the place was absolutely packed.

Tove Lo continues her tour all through 2023 and will hit stages all over the world – hopefully she is coming to a place near you!
