Grrraaaarrrrr!
Remember in Preschool, how Declan had to make a diorama of his favorite animal starting with the first letter of their name (in his case, dingo)? Well, it’s baaaaack!
I am still amazed at the level of homework required of a Kindergartner, but at the same time – he is having a blast with it, so I can’t complain. This time, he had to choose his favorite type of bear and put the bear in it’s natural habitat. Which apparently is a cardboard box covered with glitter sticks.
He chose the Black Bear.
And don’t worry, that brown thing on the ground is a log. Not a poop the size of Manhattan.

Nat, I don’t even want to know!
Great job! 🙂
love it! he has more homework than emerson!
Wow, he’s in Kindergarten? He must get his artistic talents from his Mama. 🙂
he totally rocks! I love the head to body ratio on the bear.
i appreciate you pointing out that the log is in fact a log and not…the other kind of “log.” 😉
Wow! Great job! I don’t remember doing anything but playing in kindergarten…
The glitter sticks are a nice touch! And I think the log looks like a log. I like the end of it. Very good!
Wonder how big bear poop is…
(Very talented young man you have there.)
I barely remember kindergarten…Although I do remember a puppet stage that I played with every day. A diorama? I wish I had homework that fun…
This make me want to create a diorama of my own… but I doubt it would have the same charm.
nice “log.”
You and Bryan have obviously passed on some incredible artistic skill. You must be so proud!
LOL, thanks all.
And welcome Jessica!
I, sadly, I’m with Sizzle on that “log” there….
Ok, kindergarten has changed a LOT since I went. We were not nearly this technical! We drew with crayons, ate paste and sang songs, took a nap, had a snack and went back home.
Oy. I must be old.
Can’t wait to reach this stage… What amazing artistic ability you guys have!!!!
Funny!
Found your blog tonight, absolulely wonderful
That is so cute.
Somehow, in all these years, I have managed to dodge the diorama bullet . . . so far!
Mary Beth – BLACK BEAR! Big difference! 😉
Carrie – dioramas are actually fun!
I love dioramas! and I have a very fond memory of making a diorama with my friend in grade school which included…a bear. one of those clip on animals we used to have.
Very cute. 🙂 You will be saving this one to haul out for his prom date?
It is a pretty big bear. He could have done it.
Did you not know that the brown bear’s natural habitat at birth is a shoebox? Only when his head grows to match his body can he go to the outside world. I love kid’s interpretations of animals!
You guys crack me up.
I think the only thing I did was color when I was in kindergarden. He is way more talented than I was
That boy does love his suns!
Yeah, I was wondering about that ‘log.’
My children think a bear’s natural habitat is the dumpster behind the grocery store.
