Important News
Scene: 5 minutes ago in our kitchen
Aimee: [walking out solemnly after reading the morning news on the internet, turning Bryan around to face me and rubbing up and down on his arms] “Babe, I just want you to know it’s going to be OK. Really, things will just go on, just as they always have, OK? But I have to tell you something.”
Bryan: [blink blink blink]
Aimee: “The co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons has died.”
Bryan: [Loudly using the voice of semi-retarded boxer Spinner Dunn from Death to Smoochy – one of the best movies ever] “Yeah!!! I know!!!”
Aimee: “YOU DO?”
Bryan: [taking on the voice of a pompous British professor] “Why yes! He died yesterday and was playing D&D up until last Tuesday, of course. He had been suffering from health problems for years, you know…”
It went on for about 5 more minutes but I will spare you.
