Letter From Santa
We have been playing a lot of “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” since Easter. Declan has REALLY wanted to believe in Santa, but intellectually, he knows the truth.
We are not all that religious even though we do celebrate Christmas… but we do believe in faith.
Bryan especially views Santa as a wonderful extension of faith and the magic of Christmas. He feels that, even though Declan knows his parents bring the presents, he can still believe in Santa, and the joy he brings to children at Christmastime.
This the letter that Santa left for Declan this year.

Wow, that just made me cry. I hope I have a few more years, but when the time comes I ‘ll be calling you.
Hi Aimee – Very familiar territory, and you & B handled it very well. 🙂
I think you read my story a while back when I posted it, but here’s how I handled it with my youngest: http://samthebutcher.blogspot.com/2010/12/confusion-and-doubt.html
