The Kills and The Paranoyds at Summit Denver

Alright, let me give you the lowdown on The Kills! First off, they’re a kickass duo consisting of Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince that was formed way back in 2001. These two know how to blend gritty rock with some serious attitude. Their music? Pure raw energy with a dash of garage rock and a sprinkle of bluesy vibes. When they hit the stage, it’s like a whirlwind of intensity and passion. Alison’s vocals are like a punch in the gut, in the best way possible. Jamie’s guitar skills? The guy can shred like there’s no tomorrow. It’s all about the music. (I will say that Allison is a tornado of blonde hair that is hard to catch with a camera, but totally worth the effort.)

I had never heard of opener The Paranoyds till the show, but what a perfect match. They rocked our faces off in their own right and I will be watching for them to return to Denver on their own. For now, they will finish the God Games tour with The Kills.

So, if you ever get the chance to see either bands live, do yourself a favor and grab those tickets ASAP. You won’t regret it, I promise.
