Preemptively Bad Christmas Singing
So, the friendly folks at Build-A-Bear have these cute dolls for the holiday season – Hal and Holly Moose. My first question is what is the plural of moose? Mice? Second of all, what do they put inside their dolls that make them so addictive? Hal and Holly arrived yesterday and Declan was like a moth to a flame. Are they stuffed with candy or something? Or maybe it was just Hal’s light up antler qualities. All I know is, we sat and sang Christmas songs for what felt like HOURS. ON NOVEMBER 5TH. And couldn’t even remember half the words. Thanks a TON, Build-A-Bear.
But they were also nice enough to send something along for you fine people. A $25 Gift Card to use for anything in their store. So, if you aren’t ready to face the holidays, feel free to use it for something else, seeing as it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, it’s cool with me.
Just comment away, as often as you wish, today up until midnight Mountain time, and Bryan will pick a random number for the winner of the card tomorrow am. Remember, no anonymous commenters for contests! I will need a snail mail address to mail to gift card to the winner.
Two giveaways in one week??? You’d think we just elected an awesome president or something.
The plural of moose is moose. Just an FYI. 😉
I know #3 never wins these things … but I’ve got 3 toddlers that love Build-a-Bear stuff and this will give me a nice jumpstart on my holiday shopping. Hey, do these companies ever look for a crafty blogging dad of 3 for product testing? 🙂
Moose’s rule! Martin, or “Marty Moose” as people like to call him, would LOVE these. So, I could lie and say they are for my sweet baby girls who love Build a Bear, but really they’d be for my sweet 35 year old hubby! Thanks! Melissa
Hmm, moose, mice, meese… whatever it is they better watch out for a disappointed Sarah Palin. 😉
I think the plural of moose is just mooses but that sounds silly. I don’t know why you keep saying you can’t sing, my Christmas singing partner! You totally can!
What are we going to sing this year?
Yeah, and if you’re on their mailing list your kids see the blasted mailers before you do and then the campaigning *sorry* begins for that newest addition to the collection. Schaererville can happily claim 10 critters from B-A-B and two bins of accessories. BTW, Muggsy has the same dinosaur sheet set.
Wow, this is cool! I’ve always wanted to go and build my own bear but haven’t done it yet.
I have not heard of Hal and Holly Moose either *hehe*
What a great giveaway!
The Moose are cute! My daughter loves Build a Bear, we can’t walk by without having to stop and see what is new. Great video 🙂
I can never remember the words to that song. I usually just make up my own verses as I sing along. 🙂
Perfect timing! I JUST forced my son to clean out his stuffed friends bin yesterday. They (and yes, there are 3, not just 1) were OVERflowing. He is just so into them and really it is so adorable to me, but my husband is the one that can’t take it. I feel some extra torture would be in order. Just seeing the expression on my husbands face if our son came home after his first BuildABear experience (with a pair of “MOOSE” no less) would be priceless!
Moose and deer are the same.
One moose, two moose
one deer, two deer.
Oh dear – five golden rings. funny vid.
I like to say mooses. You are right up there with my neighbor who already has her tree and all her christmas lights up as of Nov
1st!
My children are seriously in love with Build-A-Bear… All three of them and I do think they emit some sort of stuffy phermone (or, ahem, furmone?) or something that causes the children to gravitate toward them. Fun drawing–Obama should be elected more often! 😉
Well, wouldn’t this just be a perfect Christmas Gift for my darling niece.
As a drummer, your lack of knowledge of the 12th day of Christmas makes me cry. *sniff*
Oh, and just cause:
12 drummers drumming
11 pipers piping
10 lords a leaping
9 ladies dancing
8 maids a milking
7 swans a swimming
And that gets you back to the part you actually did know. 😛
And that song is totally stuck in my head now. thanks.
Plural of moose is moose.
My daughter LOVED Build a Bear, and what she generally loved was making them. Her most beloved stuffed animal is Alia, her Leopard. Loves her.
My girls love Build-a-Bear, but we haven’t been there in a long, long time.
Moose is the plural of moose, I think. And somehow I think a group of moose would be called “an easy shot” for Palin.
Too funny!
Thanks for the great giveaway!
Despite the fact that Nathan looks like he is 10 or 11 yo, he really is much younger at heart, as evidenced by his love for stuffed animals. We have yet to go to Build-a-Bear! Can you believe it?
I have no willpower when it comes to stuffed animals with a Christmas theme. I need to win. Thank you.
I disagree with Melinda. The plural of moose *HAS* to be meese. Logic be damned, it’s just more fun…
build a bear rocks….very cool contest! bugfrog you better magically pick us, we know where you live!

I hate Build A Bear but my kid LOVES it… so I’m commenting. For him.
What a mother I am…
Plural of moose is measles.
You know. . . I’ve got my very first (ever!) grandchild (a boy!!)due in just 3 weeks! And a build-a-bear is just what I need to pass the time! I’m not crafty but I bet I can come up with something just perfect for him for his “birth”day!
What a great idea you had!
Me too!
Loving the moose and the video. My girls would adore another trip to Build a Bear!
Ciaran and Liam are still fascinated with Build A Bear. How cool would I be if I were the winner. Pretty dang cool.
My boy loves stuffed animals, we’d love to win!
Aimee-
Love Build a Bear-got the flier with the moose (plural) and some coupons. Congrats to your man, Obama! I was moved by his speech by the way…us republicans are not without feeling and do recognize that the election of Obama is history in the making. We hope that he will make the right choices for all Americans. Change is most certainly a good thing. This country is in DIRE need of change! You have to hand it to my man, McCain though -especially his gracious speech. As the daughter of a 2 tour Vietnam vet, you can understand how my allegience would side with him a little bit.
Thanks for letting me post (I feel better now, seeing as though I quit Facebook!)
Carrie Hilliard
I LOVE those dinosaur sheets. Those are adorable!
Yay for Build A Bear. Maybe I will win and my two little girls will happy to spend $25!
PS. I love your singing and bear dancing!!
Rebecca F.
too cute. my daughter wants the monkey. i want the moose. =)
Holy moley, this is bringing me back to the Build A Bear bday party I had for Paige. I felt so sorry for the B.A.B. party host, she had to wear a costume AND entertain a bunch of cranky kids hopped up on sugar.
They deserve a raise and still have my thanks. I didn’t have to lift a finger. : )
Don’t include me in the drawing, but that youtube is so cute. Miss those days.
The plural of moose is meese. I know that because the plural of goose is geese!
I’m lukewarm about introducing my 3yo to B-a-B…
Great video! The boys went to BAB last summer for the first time and loved it. I’m sure they would love to return with a $25 GC courtesy of their friend Aimee!
My kids are obsessed w/the moose. Count me in.
OMG, I am going to have that song stuck in my head all day!
Katie’s Bear could really use a Christmas dress, you know – I DO have priorities! 🙂
Dammit.
I AM going to win something of yours one of these days.
Did I mention that it is Katie’s Birthday today?
Yes, TODAY, for reals.
If you don’t believe me check out my post today and no, I did not just make that up to win this $25 Build-a-Bear gift certificate!
me. me. me.
Back again!!!!!
🙂
Contest closed at Midnight mountain time! Thanks for all your fun comments and enthusiasm!!!
Pick me! Pick me! And a partridge in a pear tree.
